GRACE
Grace started aerial back in 2020 after being a long time theatre kid and wanting to try something different and get strong. She trained at Circomedia on the BTEC and Degree course and now bring that knowledge to Maya Dance and Fitness!
What she loves about aerial is how grounding can be (pun intended!)- The perfect combination of acrobatics, strength, dance and having a good laugh.
She enjoys creating flow, smooth transitions, funky shapes, and anything that lets her dance and explore movement in the air. Outside the studio she is also an avid Morris dancer and dances with a group of kittiwakes and clowns (yes, literally 🐦🤡).
For anyone nervous about starting aerial hoop, Graces advice would be: All of the teachers were in your place once, confidence and strength takes time! Give it a go and be prepared for how much fun you're going to have (seriously laughter is the best medicine when you're trying to work out your left and rights whilst upside down!)
