PIPPA CUNNINGHAM
Pippa discovered aerial hoop in 2024, with no previous background in dance, fitness or gymnastics. What started as a fun way to get fit quickly became something much more meaningful. Amazed by the positive impact aerial hoop had on both her mental and physical wellbeing, she soon became hooked.
Since then, Pippa has dabbled in a variety of aerial apparatuses, including pole, sling and double-point hoop. However, aerial hoop remains her first love - a perfect combination of creativity, strength and fun.
Pippa enjoys a flowy combo, playing with the spin of the hoop and adding a strength challenge wherever she can. Alongside teaching, she still loves being a student herself, regularly attending advanced aerial hoop classes at Maya and continuing to learn, experiment and push herself.
When she’s not spinning herself happy at the studio, Pippa works as a clinical pharmacist in a hospital. Outside of work and aerial, she loves live music and getting stuck in to a good music festival, as well as enjoying the quieter side of life through reading and crocheting - She’ll often come to class with a book recommendation (or five!) to share.
