More than just a class.
At Maya, some of the best moments happen outside the studio too.
Our Student Socials are all about bringing the Maya community together. Whether it's a relaxed coffee after class, a night out dancing, wild swimming, climbing adventures, picnics in the park or celebrating at Christmas, there's always something to get involved in.
You don't have to know anyone before you come. In fact, many of our students make their closest friends through these events.
Come along, meet new people, have a laugh, and be part of a community that supports each other both inside and outside the studio.
What can I expect?
Every social is different, but past events have included:
Indoor climbing sessions
Wild swimming adventures
Yoga in the park
Watching aerial and circus shows together
Celebrating birthdays, competitions and performances
Whether you're feeling adventurous or just fancy a chat over coffee, there's something for everyone.
Do I have to come on my own?
Lots of people do!
Our socials are designed to be welcoming and inclusive, so whether you've been at Maya for years or you've just started your first course, you'll always find a friendly face.

Who can come?
Student Socials are open to all current Maya students unless otherwise stated on the event.
Do I need to book?
Some events require booking, while others you can simply turn up to. We'll always include the details on each event page.
Do the socials cost anything?
Some are completely free, while others involve paying for activities, food or drinks. Any costs will always be clearly shown before you book.
I'm new and don't know anyone...
Perfect! Student Socials are one of the easiest ways to meet people. Everyone remembers being new, and you'll always receive a warm Maya welcome.
Do I have to be good at pole or aerial?
Not at all! These events are about spending time together, not showing off your skills. Come exactly as you are.
