AERIAL HOOP



BEGINNERS

Have you ever dreamed of running away to the circus? Well... now is your chance! This Aerial Hoop class is for total newbies - no dance or fitness background required! During these classes we will be using the hoop to improve your strength and stamina as well as executing beautiful shapes. The class ends with a good stretch and cool down to improve suppleness and flexibility. 


INTERMEDIATE

Strengthen your foundation moves and build your hoop repertoire! In this class you will learn how to link all of your favourite moves together as well as new tricks, seats and hangs. Moves that you learnt in beginner with the hoop lowered will be taught with the hoop raised to build your confidence in the air. This class finishes with a short freestyle where you will begin to discover your own style of movement.

Pre-requisites : Get in to the hoop unassisted, dismount from the top bar to sit in the hoop. Comfortable with a range of bottom bar hangs such as delilah, double knee hang, candle stick and a variety of tricks in the hoop such as birdie, gazelle, back star.


ADVANCED

Life is better upside down! Learn new transitions around the hoop in longer combinations as you really start to build your stamina and endurance. Moves that were taught in beginner level 2 will be built upon such as back balances, advanced rolls, and top bar tricks. Start to feel like you have the ability to fly as you build your confidence controlling the momentum of the hoop as its spins.

Pre-requisites: Single leg hang, single leg back balance, around the world, shoulder-stand balance, front balance entry roll to delilah.
