POLE CLASSES



BEGINNER

If you are completely new to pole then this class is perfect for you. No background in fitness or dance is required. Each lesson builds upon the last with new spins, tricks and choreography.  So - whether you are looking to make some new friends or improve your body confidence; you will be sure to walk away with a new found amazement at what you can do!

What to wear? A comfortable top and shorts that end above your knees.


PRE- INTERMEDIATE

In this class you will start to learn interesting combinations of tricks, spins and flow. As we continue to build your strength, you will learn to butterfly and other gravity defying tricks such as hanging off one leg.... upside down! Whether you have just moved up from Beginners, or are almost ready for Intermediate; you will always be working at a level that is appropriate for you and options will be given throughout. Your spinning pole repertoire will also grow as you learn how to control the momentum with impressive spins and tricks.

Pre-requisites:  Cross knee release, wrist seat, upside down crucifix.


INTERMEDIATE

Now you really mean business! You will start to look at harder transitions and different ways of moving around the pole, including aerial inverts and climb variations. The foundations of hands-only tricks will be learnt as you continue to improve your strength. Interesting ways in and out of shapes like hip-hold, gemini and superman will be taught, as well as variations of these moves. Your spinning pole repertoire will become more dynamic as you learn how to control the momentum of the pole and learn challenging combinations of tricks.

Pre-requisites: Cross ankle release, extended butterfly, wrist seat, gemini, scorpio, superman, shoulder mount, hip hold.


ADVANCED

Life is better upside down! Learn new grips and ways of moving around the pole in longer combinations as you really start to build your stamina and endurance. Your spins will become more dynamic and powerful, and you will be encouraged to find your own grace and style. We focus on building your upper body strength for hands only tricks, as well as your flexibility for that all important wow factor!  You will start to feel like you have the ability to fly as you learn to harness the power of the spinning pole by building challenging sequences and beautiful transitions. 

Pre-requisites: superman, gemini climb over, aerial invert, cross ankle release, baby jade, brass monkey, shoulder mount, ayesha.
