What's the Bare Minimum in Pole and Aerial?

Some weeks just feel harder than others. Energy dips, motivation disappears, and things don’t quite go to plan. Maybe life gets busy, you’re feeling run down, or you just don’t have the same spark you had the week before. And when that happens, it’s easy to fall into that all-or-nothing mindset. If it can’t be a “perfect” week of training, what’s the point at all? When you’re feeling this, remember:

  • Progress doesn’t have to be perfect to count

  • Doing a little is always better than doing nothing

  • Missing a class, a week, or even a couple of weeks isn’t the end

  • Rest, holidays, and slower periods are part of the process

  • You can still move and train around injuries safely

  • Consistency over time matters more than short bursts of perfection

We love the idea of Bare Minimum. It’s that middle ground that keeps you showing up without the pressure to do everything. It might look like one class instead of three, a lighter session, or simply giving yourself permission to take it slower. Over time, this mindset helps you build a more sustainable, enjoyable relationship with movement. So if things feel a bit off right now, that’s okay. Keep it simple, keep it kind, and remember that showing up in any capacity still counts 🩵
